There's so much to do here that you could stay on site the whole time: golf, tennis, running trails, golf carting, fitness classes, a spa, restaurants, and of course the beach. We love it. Still, you'll probably want to explore the nearby areas and Charleston too.

The location was great, but Vacasa's service was terrible and I wouldn't rent through them again. We arrived four and a half hours after check-in, only to find the house hadn't been cleaned. We booked based on what their website said about Covid protections, but that wasn't our experience with this management company. After 45 minutes on hold, they said the property manager would call back. Forty minutes later, at 11 p.m., the solution was to go to a hotel and return the next day. They didn't even pay the full hotel cost. They said they'd refund the first night, but I couldn't stay there anyway, so of course they should. Terrible service.

Wild Dunes has lots of different areas to stay in, and we like most everything about it. We've stayed in Pelican Bay twice and enjoyed both visits.
