We booked our unit through Airbnb Carolina One and it was perfect. The first floor made access easy for my son, who has trouble walking. It was a beautiful condo within walking distance of the beach, shops, and nice restaurants. Another option is to drive to Public Parking and pay, or park at Sea Cabins and reach the beach and pier from there.

The best parts were being close to the beach and spending time with family. The rest was a letdown for the money. Our unit was on the third floor, wasn't handicap accessible, and wouldn't suit elderly guests. The place also didn't seem well maintained. There were four adults, two couples, with a queen bed in one room and twins plus a shared bathroom in the other. The twin mattresses felt like oversized baby mattresses, and the queen was so uncomfortable my brother's wife slept on the lumpy couch. The TV was awful and took four remotes to operate. There weren't enough pots and pans, so we were glad we'd brought our own. The couch looked about 15 years worn. The first three photos weren't mine. We stayed in unit A, whose floor plan was similar to the one we rented.

The private beach and pier are a favorite of mine. It's a lovely place, close to the beach and surrounded by lots to do. I look forward to visiting every year.
