Four Jacks Hotel and Casino

The host was very nice and attentive, but the food was awful. There were flies buzzing around, the ingredients had no flavor, and grease pooled on the plate. I had to cover it in hot sauce to get it down. We only ate there because the line at Cactus Petes was too long.

I liked the homey feel, and everyone working there was welcoming. It's an older, no-frills bargain, but very clean. I arrived around 2:30am after 12 hours of travel, and the night clerk was friendly and engaging, with check-in done quickly. The room felt old-fashioned, like Grandma's house, while the bathroom was much more modern. I was grateful for the jet tub after that long drive. The sheets and towels felt oddly stiff or sticky, so they might want to try a different detergent. I checked out early and had breakfast at the restaurant. The Garbage Omelette, hash browns, and sourdough toast were cooked just right and full of flavor. I got a box to go, and the staff member brought a bag and plastic silverware. There are things that could be improved, as the pictures show, but I'd stay again. 😊

We arrived at 2am and were given a room only until 11am, just six hours later. The guy checked us in right away, but had forgotten who we were within two hours. The Jacuzzi tub they praised didn't work at all, and the room, especially the bathroom, was much too hot. We paid $80 for those six hours and got no discount or another night, so we had to sleep in our car. Not impressed.

I thought the manager working on the 25th of this month was very rude. I let him into the room to help with the TV, and he came in without keeping my dog from running out. When I said he'd let my damn dog out, he told me that was my problem. Treating people like that won't help them get through the later years.
