Jessi made a huge difference as our coordinator for the wedding weekend. She worked closely with our planner Lauren Wilson Events and helped everything run smoothly, even as we dealt with a change in ownership after signing the event contract. We felt cared for all weekend. Joe and Sarah helped coordinate our guests' stays and handle smaller concerns, and Mark made a special arrangement for my mother in law's pet so she could attend without being extremely anxious. Linda, the lead bartender, was attentive to us and our guests and made sure we stayed hydrated. The grounds are lovely, and the Shovel Handle Pub food was superb. Our favorites were the sirloin tips and salmon. Some of the rooms could use a little improvement in space, lighting, or design, though our guests found them perfectly comfortable. The new owners and longtime staff like Joe seem to care about the property and are working to improve it. Since I got to know Whitney's Inn, the common areas inside and out have changed from looking like they hadn't been updated since 1993 to modern, comfortable spaces our family enjoyed. On our first visit under the former owner, an old couch nearly swallowed us. We had our wedding at Whitney's Inn in October 2025 and stayed that weekend after several earlier family trips. I look forward to visiting each year and seeing how the new team brings it all together.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the service was responsive to all my questions. It's a perfectly fine place to stay. I just missed the inn factor: there were seats, as in the photos, but nowhere to really settle in and play a game, especially near the front desk.

A lovely, cozy spot for a group trip or a romantic getaway. It has a real winter wonderland feel and is charming and welcoming. The pub food was excellent, and both the live music and atmosphere were a pleasure. Such a hidden gem with lots to offer, highly recommended.

We had a room reserved but left without staying. The place was loud, scummy, fairly dirty, and smelled like wet dog. The food was repulsive and looked like toddlers had thrown it together, and the service was terrible. At least they issued a refund. I've stayed in shady rooms all over the country, but this was by far the most uncomfortable in every way, like a college dorm. There's no way I'd ever go back.

The room and bathroom were so dim when I was getting ready for a formal event, and that's my only complaint. Otherwise, this place is adorable and cozy. Some people call it old and outdated, but I think that's part of its charm. Everyone was friendly, the pub was great, and the wedding we attended was beautifully prepared.
