The beach here is lovely and quiet, without the crowds you get at places like Ft Myers or Daytona, even with a hotel next door. We stayed the last week of April 2013 on vacation, and the condo felt private and peaceful. It’s in a gated residential complex, with key or fob access, which was reassuring with kids. I think only one or two units are rented to vacationers, and we booked through Vacation Rental Pros. It’s a great fit for families, not really for college kids or people looking to party. We’d definitely come back.

There’s plenty of parking, the floor plans are good, and the gates and key fob make the complex feel secure. The grounds and buildings are in great shape and seem well maintained. It’s also right beside a hotel with an oceanfront bar, which is a nice extra.

I can’t say much about the hotel itself, but it’s close to the beach. From the beachfront bar it looks really nice, and when we visit the beach we can walk up, order a drink, and use the bathroom. Thanks, we’ll be back for both.

When I lived here, the beach was basically my backyard, and you couldn’t get much closer to the ocean. It was private, so we never had to deal with a crowd. We even had big bonfires on the beach, and the cops couldn’t do anything about it. Private and nude beaches are the best.

The amenities have restrictive use rules, and the security feels obstructive without a clear plan or system. The key fobs are unreliable, too, and getting one fixed means traveling to Ponte Vedra.
