Comfort Suites New Bern near Cherry Point

The reception staff were pleasant, and I liked the room layout. The beds squeaked a little and there was some noise in the hall. The water got warm, but never hot. Breakfast was the letdown: the frowning woman serving it only had bacon burnt to ash, hard, burnt hash brown patties, and runny eggs.

The pool had been closed for an extended time, and nobody mentioned that when we booked. We also found food debris on the floor in our room. At the entrance, we saw an employee and their spouse repeatedly honking a car horn. Taken together, it felt like there was little transparency or attention to detail. If you're coming to town, find another hotel. Save time and just say no to Comfort Suites New Bern near Cherry Point.

The beds were comfortable, and for the price the place was okay. Getting around the construction was a pain, though, the pool was shut down, and there's no hot tub. Breakfast was just so-so.

After one night, I can say the bed was very comfortable, with a fitted bottom sheet, which I really appreciated. The air conditioner makes a steady, quiet sound that I found relaxing. I also loved the bathroom nightlight. At 67, I know I'll need to get up during the night, and I usually bring my own small LED light because so few hotels have one. The shower was fantastic, the bathroom was well appointed, the Rao soap was great, and the shampoo and conditioner were good too. Thick, soft towels. The room is so spacious and comfortable I could live there forever, though that might be an exaggeration. I booked this Comfort Suites in New Bern through the a Choice app while visiting a friend in Havelock, NC. The hotel looked nice, and the room seemed attractive. The building looks new, though it's been remodeled, and they did a great job. There's a couch and chair in the living area across from the desk, and the king bed is across from the TV, fridge, and microwave. It reminded me of a HYATT PLACE room, and cost about half as much. Natasha was at the desk when I checked in that evening, and she was positive, polite, and professional. I was really impressed and couldn't be happier with my choice. Great place, location, and value. Thank you, CHOICE!
