Yvonne & james were always smiling and so accommodating. The room was clean and had lots of space, but honestly, the couple running the place is what made the stay worthwhile. They’re awesome!

We’d happily stay here again when passing through. The room had an in-room jacuzzi, and there are places to get breakfast just a short walk away. For an overnight stop, the value for the price was fabulous.

I grew up nearby and wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, partly because I hoped to support it. But at over $120 for the night, it cost more than nicer places in the area, and the room had obvious problems as soon as I walked in. It smelled stale, the air unit had a thick layer of dust, and the floors clearly hadn’t been cleaned recently. I was ready to overlook that until I checked the bed: there was mascara on the pillowcases, plus fresh-looking burns on the sheets and blanket that made me think the bedding hadn’t been changed. In the bathroom, hair from different parts of someone’s body was on the walls, door, and even the toilet with its sanitary seal. The light switches, room door, handle, and do-not-disturb sign all had oily fingerprints or grime. It was so disgusting that I asked for cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself. After three white hand towels turned black and brown, I managed to shower, but the water pressure and heat quickly dropped when another guest used their shower. I was exhausted from working as a vendor at a fairground event and just wanted to rest. Instead, I found a broken microwave that was tilted, missing a leg, and didn’t heat anything. The room heater smelled like a bad trailer home and seemed to cook the hair of every visitor and their pets for over an hour. The headboard was visibly smeared with gunk. The bedside lamps had an inch or two of dust on them, and when I brushed one looking for the switch, dust got in my eyes. The phone had unknown smungous all over it. The fridge smelled moldy, and even after I lightly wiped it out, my pizza tasted like that smell and my leftovers were ruined for the next day. The dressers were broken, apparently just for looks. They were full of old gunk, smelled like a bad thrift store, and wouldn’t open all the way without breaking. The dog yard was a muddy mess with piled garbage and slippery muck, with no lights or nearby garbage cans. In the dark, I tripped on an odd pole sticking out of the ground with NO makers and landed on my stump. It still hurts. If you have any disability or mobility difficulty, don’t come here. The rooms, bathroom layout, and parking lot aren’t ADA-friendly at all. I wouldn’t have written this if, when I showed the managers the filthy towels at checkout, I hadn’t been told the owner “was a stickler for not giving ANY type of refund.” I paid $120 as a disabled visitor to sleep somewhere as dirty as a public bus, and they didn’t even offer a comp coffee. They basically brushed it off with an oh well, what are you going to do. If you have a weak immune system, mobility issues, or expect a room worth what you pay, I’d go elsewhere, or inspect the room right away and leave if it’s gross. They will NOT make it right.

James and Yvonne are genuinely kind, standup owners, and they were so accommodating to my dad and me. We had a great stay and come here often. The rooms are very clean, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and the bedroom hot tubs are great. The pool was clean, too, and there’s a fridge with a freezer. I also really like the coffee in the office. Their sweet little dog, toothless, is adorable. Whatever we needed, they were there to help. There are historical buildings and businesses within walking distance. Thanks so much, we’ll keep coming back!
