Knights Inn Emporia

Parking was easy even with our large pickup and attached trailer. No one was at the desk when we arrived, but there was a phone to let them know we were there; the greeting afterward was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and had a new heating and air-conditioning unit, at least the one we had, so the temperature was easy to control. The beds were fine and we slept decently. The shower got hot, though the pressure wasn't great, and it had an adjustable spray showerhead. The toilet had been replaced fairly recently. The decor was dated and the air smelled a little stale at first, but that went away quickly. A good place to stay, especially so close to the highway.

The staff were quite friendly, and they let us bring our two large, well-behaved dogs. For the price, I was more than happy with everything. The room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, and everything worked. We'll definitely stay again when we're passing through.

I like this place for its location. It's safe and everything works, but remember to turn on the fridge and AC as soon as you get to the room. The rooms are non-smoking, though people definitely don't follow the rules.

I wasn't expecting the doors to open onto the outside, and wish the description made it clearer that this is a motel rather than a hotel. Even so, it was a nice, very clean room with a microwave, mini fridge, and TV. We heard car alarms going off nearby, which was a bit off-putting, but the man behind the counter was friendly and helpful.
