Hill Crest Bed & Breakfast

The house was just the quintessential American place we’d hoped to find as two Brits, and we’ll remember our stay for a long time. Martha and her family looked after us so warmly. We were the only guests in the mansion that night, so we had the whole place and all of Martha’s hospitality to ourselves. At short notice she made an incredible three course dinner, and breakfast the next morning was divine. We spent about three hours over breakfast, chatting with her lovely parents, and wished we could stay longer. Thank you to Martha and her parents. We hope to come back someday!

Martha and her staff make you feel like family from the moment you say hello. The rooms are detailed and beautifully decorated, with magnificent crystal chandeliers that each have their own history. The formal dining room is lovely, and the five course breakfast could hold its own against a high end restaurant anywhere. My husband and I had a wonderful visit to this exquisite B&B in Clifton Forge VA. Its charm reminded us of a Southern plantation home in Savannah or Charleston, and the mountain views were incredible. From the grand columns at the entrance to the feather beds, it’s a unique place to stay. If you have the time, book a visit. We enjoyed every minute.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, the food was excellent, and we were made to feel like family. The service was so attentive it almost felt royal. I highly recommend staying here.

Dinner for four at Hillcrest was an experience we won't forget. The food was out of this world, and the service was excellent. When the butler opened the door, it felt like being welcomed home. Everyone should eat there at least once.
