Jekyll Island Club Resort

The grounds are beautiful, and the resort manages to feel elegant and welcoming at the same time. Its historic character, along with a comfortable room, made for a great visit and a lovely way to slow down on Jekyll Island. We were on the top floor and loved how quiet and private it felt. The room was spacious, large, and comfortable, with plenty of room to unwind. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable visit.

The Club resort is our go-to place. The staff are caring, knowledgeable, and respectful, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well furnished on every level. My husband and I enjoy relaxing, riding bikes, walking, or reading on the huge veranda. The restaurant feels like a moment in time. Treat yourself to a stay here!

It’s a historic hotel with friendly, attentive staff. The gym is close enough for government work, and the hotel’s breakfast buffet is unbeatable. If you’re passing through, I’d recommend staying at least a short while.

We loved the hotel’s history, its spot by the river, the beautiful mossy trees, and the well-kept grounds with lots of paths. It’s an old hotel with old cottages, so that’s something to know going in. We were there over Valentine’s weekend in a first-floor cottage, which meant no stairs. Our king room was spacious, the bathroom was too, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast in the grand dining room was very good. The front desk staff were friendly and informative. There were some real downsides. The cottage was open to the public all day and night, and the only locked, secure space was the bedroom. I never saw security on the resort. The hardwood floors mean you hear people above and outside your door, and the shower pressure was barely a trickle, making it hard to rinse off soap. Some cleaning supplies had been left in our room. The Grand dining room in the main hotel isn’t open for dinner, so you have to go to the Wharf restaurant next door or take the shuttle to the beach restaurant. The bar is small, with one bartender, so service could be slow when it was busy. The shuttle often didn’t arrive when it was supposed to, and we had to get someone to call for us. Its drivers were very friendly. There were people riding bikes everywhere, though we didn’t rent any.
