Caprice Suites

The apartment was okay, but nights were noisy because gas stations and a fire station are nearby. The windows have big gaps, so the room gets cold in winter and you end up spending more on electricity. Beware, the owner wouldn’t return my full deposit. I chased him for four months and only got some of it back. Very unprofessional owner. I’m not the first this has happened to, he’s done it to many.

It was okay once the first disappointment passed. I’ve stayed in better places and worse ones too. I’d look elsewhere if I came back, though it wasn’t terrible. There was plenty of space, a full kitchen, wifi, a warm shower, and the air conditioning worked, though it was really loud. The place was clean-ish and close to PATH. But there were no blackout curtains, so with the sun rising at 5:30, you will too. Every non-recessed bulb was blown, all four of them, so I took the fridge bulb for the lamp. We had four towels but no washcloths, no extras, and no linen washing at all. There wasn’t a trash can, so luckily we picked up bags at the local Dollar Tree. No hair dryer, the toiletries were seriously lacking, and there was no TV in the bedroom, which was a major bummer. I’d booked Caprice but got Monte Carlo; I’m not sure if one is better than the other. One more thing, if you want to be near food that isn’t Indian, this isn’t the spot for you.

Cozy, clean, and a lovely place to stay.
