I booked a room a month ahead, then they cancelled it the day before I was due to arrive without telling me. When I went to check in, the guy blamed it on credit card authorization, but nobody charges a card before arrival. He acted like I’d never stayed at a hotel, even though I work in one. I later found out they’d given the room to someone paying cash at a higher price. When I asked for compensation, he got rude. Never book here.

Haiban inn works well for overnight work trips, and I’ve stayed three times. My previous visit was for tourism. The people here are kind and focused on providing good service.

We stayed for about ten days. The cleaning was very good, and the room temperature was just right. Reception was so smiley :) Everything was great, thank you.

Haiban Inn was a good fit for my one-night stay. It’s an easy walk to Journal Square PATH station, with lots of good Indian restaurants nearby. My room was clean and comfortable, with what I needed for an overnight stop: a microwave, iron, and toiletries. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s no private parking, but I found street parking nearby late at night without trouble, so overnight parking was easy and affordable. During the day, finding a spot would be luck of the draw. It’s not fancy, but the price and location make it a solid choice. I’d consider staying again for a short trip or a transit stop.

I had to mop the eating area and bathroom so my friend could sleep, and I sprayed Lysol disinfectant around the area, including the bed. I also cleaned the bathtub and sink. This is a dirty, stinky, gross, neglected place that didn’t feel safe inside or outside. I’ll never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
