Moonlight Inn

I needed a night for my husband and kids, but our room smelled like smoke, the sheets and towels were dirty, and the tub hadn't been cleaned properly. I asked for a refund and was offered another room, but that one also had dirty towels and linens. I told the front desk I wasn't comfortable staying there with my kids. They offered only a partial refund, and after I handed over my card, he said he couldn't refund a Cash App card. I wouldn't recommend it.

The view from upstairs is wide, and the rooms have AC, which matters during an outage. But the rooms smelled bad, the sheets were dirty, and the microwaves and fridges weren't clean. I'd bring your own pillows, blankets, and towels. They charged me $90, about $20 above the usual rate, because of an electricity outage. At normal pricing, the cost might fit rooms like these.

The building has a modern look, and the room was pretty spacious. I liked being close to the freeway and shopping centers, with lots of choices nearby, from fast food and restaurants to convenience and dollar stores and smoke shops. Comfort matters more to me when I'm looking at hotels around where I live. A few small repairs inside the room stood out as safety concerns, though it's not something I haven't seen at other motels in the area.

I was happy with paying less for older furnishings. The furniture still worked properly, with drawer handles in place and sturdy tables. Rates seem to reflect how new the furnishings are, so you can pay more for newer items or less for older ones. The family who owns and runs the place were the nicest and most polite I've met at a hotel. Whenever something in the room wasn't working, the owner himself came by to help almost right away.
