The front desk team was helpful and friendly when I arrived, and the room stayed quiet and warm despite the storm. I was in town for work at Fort Meade, and the hotel was a practical base, usually about a 5-10 minute drive away, though icy roads changed that. My job had booked the room, which saved me from scrambling for shelter. The room had the usual Courtyard setup: a comfortable bed, Wi-Fi, and a microwave and fridge. It was clean, and the breakfast area was open, though I barely used it. The BWI area felt easy and safe even with snow everywhere. I’d stay again if work books it, especially for a short trip in bad weather.

Check-in was quick and easy, thanks to a friendly, professional staff. My room had plenty of space, a comfortable bed, and a good work area, with everything I needed to relax. The hotel was clean and well cared for throughout, and getting to the airport or around the area was convenient. I had a great stay and would come back.

The room was unbearably hot all night, and I couldn’t adjust the temperature. Around midnight I went to the desk for a fan, but it took about 30 minutes to get one. The whole stay was miserable, especially after I’d already had a bad experience with the Wi-Fi. It was down for our entire trip, and our hotspot barely worked because the service was so poor. I can’t believe I paid for this. I’d sleep in my car before staying here again.

The location worked well for the nearby corporate buildings, but there was almost nowhere to shop or eat. There wasn’t breakfast, which seemed unusual, and the small food counter wasn’t appealing: bottled beer cost $8 and a little frozen pizza was $15. It wasn’t a great stay, though not the absolute worst. I’ll choose somewhere else next time I’m in Maryland.

The room rates are reasonable and the rooms are nice, but the 4 a.m. checkout has been a problem every time I’ve stayed. I call out for help and wait at the desk for about ten minutes, then end up waking the receptionist who’s asleep in the back room. A bell at the desk would help. The staff at reception haven’t been much help with this.
