Best Western Johnson City Inn

The location is great, and that’s why I extended my stay to four nights. The staff were very nice and responsive, and housekeeping checked in daily to see what I needed or whether I wanted the room made up. The bathroom was clean, and the room was reasonably clean, but the carpet was dirty and the furnishings were poor. There was nowhere to sit and eat or work on a laptop, since the TV took up the table. It all felt dated and dingy. The coffee maker was missing when I arrived, and there were no tissues, but the front desk brought both as soon as I mentioned it. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

The staff were nice, and the hotel is well located right in the heart of town on the main highway. My room had a strong, unpleasant smell, like an overpowering room deodorizer. A bright green light under the desk lit up the room at night, and I couldn’t get the internet working, so I used my hotspot. The carpet was filthy. They did provide a hot breakfast. The place is due for an update.

We drove from Lubbock to Johnson City for work and got in at 4 a.m. The man at the front desk had already checked us in and had our keys ready, which was awesome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was epic: eggs, waffles, refried beans, tortillas, and hash browns. It had a great, homey feel. Loved this place.

The park was beautiful, the pool was really nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There weren’t any towels in the pool cabinet, though. Thank God I didn’t see roaches in my room. I noticed my review had been removed, probably because of the photo and what I said about breakfast. There were gnats everywhere, even around the yogurt dispenser. The eggs had half an inch of water in them, the bananas were nearly ready to be thrown out but were still served, and the biscuits were hard as rocks. Everything else was great, but the complimentary breakfast was disgusting.
