We were relocating to the area, and I stayed here for two nights while interviewing for jobs. The staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. The room had nice furniture and was very clean, apart from a cobweb behind the door. Breakfast was hot, really good, and had lots of variety. They also had plenty of towels, four of them, and they weren’t skimpy or rough like the towels at many hotels. The shampoo was a name brand shampoo and conditioner in one, not the usual cheap stuff, and I liked the makeup remover wipes, which I hadn’t seen before. The hotel was under construction, but that was fine. I’d stay here again if I weren’t going to live in the area, and I’d recommend it to friends and family. Don’t listen to the other reviews, this is a nice place.

The breakfast was very good, and the woman running the room was helpful and eager to please. Check-in staff were cheerful and helpful too. We stayed here twice within two weeks, and both times it felt clean, comfortable, and safe. The pool looked pitiful, though it hadn’t opened for the year yet. The first bed was more comfortable than the second, but the second was still acceptable.

We were assigned this hotel by the travel tournament committee, and while it wouldn’t have been my first choice, I was impressed. The negotiated price was excellent, the rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable. The remodel looked very nice, and the complimentary internet worked well. Breakfast was varied, though typical of many hotels: warm sausage, eggs, gravy, pancakes, danish, toast, yogurt, and coffee. There was no decaf. I’d stay here again.

This was our second stay at the Best Western Johnson City Hotel & Conference Center, and we’d happily return and recommend it to friends and family. The hotel is clean and updated, with friendly, efficient staff. Our only real issue was that the room had one chair for the two of us, so another would have been nice. We didn’t use the outdoor pool, but it looked clean and inviting. Breakfast is free and on-site, and the food was good. The woman working the breakfast room was excellent, keeping everything clean and stocked despite a very busy holiday weekend.

Dinner was convenient because there’s an Asian / Thai restaurant on the property, but the food was only okay and didn’t justify the price. I’d skip it. The room was quiet and on the first floor, with a drive-up entrance, and being far from the front desk suited me. There were some odd people staying there, but nobody bothered me. I travel on a budget with Mike, my gentle old Chocolate Lab, and had been trying to pay a little more for a calmer stay after bad experiences with cheaper chains like Super 8. The local staff were warm and welcoming, the hotel was easy to get on and off I-26, and my hotel book coupon made the price very good. Behind the property, the nature sounds were amazing.
