Oak Hill Inn, Julian

My husband and I were here for the first time, arriving on our Harley. Mike greeted us right away, was warm and welcoming, and even cleared a spot by the house for the bike. At the main house, Laura was just as friendly and asked if we needed anything. Mike showed us to a clean, comfortable room with a cozy fireplace-style heater that worked well. The bed and sheets were comfortable, and the room had thick, soft toilet paper, makeup remover towels, q-tips, a hair dryer, plates, silverware, utensils, a Keurig with good flavored creamers, and two waters. My favorite part was the open tavern, stocked all night with liquor, snacks from chips and cookies to candy bars and Klondike bars, sodas, beers, juice, cups, frozen White Castle burgers, and burritos. The pool beside our room has fish in the tiles, a cute detail, though it was too cold to swim. Town is within walking distance. They didn't skimp on the details, and for a fairly reasonable price it felt worth it compared with other Julian motels and hotels that charge the same for just a room. We appreciated the hospitality and will be back. A must-see and stay motel!

After a long motorcycle ride, we found this gem. The owners were welcoming, gave us secure parking for our bike, and shared local tips. The room was clean and cozy, just minutes from dining and shopping. There are quiet spots to relax and a memorable pool with artistic tiles. We'd definitely choose it again on our next Julian visit.

The room at Oak Hill Inn was comfortable, with a cozy bed and four pillows, and the shower had nice hot water. Check-in through Air B&B was very easy. A sign showing the room numbers would make it easier to find your room, though we were greeted when we arrived and shown where to go. We were told signs would be added very soon. My wife and I enjoyed our weekend there and would stay again if we're in Julian. You should too.

We stayed in the patio room and found it clean and cozy. Next time we'd try the pool room. The pool was refreshing, and we liked lounging in the sun on the deck. Towels were provided there, and dishes were in the room. Parking was easy on a completely empty street. The complimentary poolside bar was a great touch, stocked with beer, liquor, seltzers, many sodas, iced tea, Gatorade, water, and a freezer full of candy, ice cream, Hot Pockets, burritos, and more. There was popcorn, crackers, and chips too. Just be ready to haul your things up some steep stairs. We stayed one night and only carried up a light bag of clothes. Julian doesn't offer much to do, and by around 7 the town is shut up like a ghost town, so it's a good spot to rest and enjoy the quiet. We'll definitely stay at Oak Hill Inn again.
