The beach just across the road is still one of my favorites, absolutely beautiful, and I’ve always loved the old flower and fruit trees around the property. But this visit has been rough. For at least two months the landscaping has looked awful, with everything dead, and construction is now nine weeks past its completion date with a long way to go. It’s left the home inaccessible for a wheelchair. I’d never had a bad experience here before this one.
Fruit trees are scattered all over the grounds, and there are two pools to use. The beach is only a short walk across the street or a quick drive away. It’s a lovely place on a wonderful island, especially if you’d rather skip the crowds and clutter of the big hotels.
We booked through Airbnb and found it to be a quiet community with really nice landscaping. Lahaina is close, and the beach is about a five-minute walk. The only drawback was that both pools were closed because of COVID restrictions.
There’s so much room to breathe here. The condos are spread apart, with green lawns running between the buildings that are nice to stroll across. Since these were among the first condos built on Maui, I think this complex would be one of my first choices if I were visiting as a tourist.
CB Taxi drove us there from Maui Airport, and it cost less than UBER.
