We checked out after one night and moved to the Marriott, where we got the ocean view room that had been advertised. At this place, we paid for an ocean view but were given a partial view at best. The front desk said that was all that was available, yet the website still showed plenty of ocean view rooms. I felt the room we were given didn't match what we paid for, and the employees were plainly lying about availability. The whole situation wasted a full day of our vacation. I'd suggest asking to see the room you paid for before letting them bring your belongings up.

The beach is awesome, with some decent snorkeling just off shore, and during whale season you can see whales. I also liked the full-sized fridge. We didn't cook this trip, but having a kitchen would come in handy, especially with kids. The pool is great, though an adult-only area would be nice, and the rooms are wonderful aside from showers that could use an update. This is a vacation club rather than a hotel, so it's best to set expectations with that in mind. Sand beach chairs and snorkels cost extra. Some Marriott hotels on other islands include one or both, but it wasn't a major issue since you can rent chairs or snorkels for the whole week.

It's an easy place to settle in and relax for a week or two. The rooms are big and well furnished, with a full kitchen, and there are several BBQs ready to use. We could make meals, eat at the restaurant, or order in without any hassle. The beach is nice, the staff are helpful and friendly, and Whaler’s Village is within walking distance. Food is decent but a bit pricey, which is to be expected. We'll certainly return.

We loved stretching out by the pool. There's plenty to do here and around the island, and it was nice to see the Banyon tree doing well. We took the road to Hana backwards this trip, which was crazy, and saw lots of cats instead of chickens. Mahalo! 🌴

The villa is very close to the ocean, and I kept finding myself saying, “Wow!” The Koi ponds are amazing, and the location is handy for food and groceries. We were on the side without the kid pool, which made it really relaxing. Our room was clean and had all the connectivity we needed. Valet was great, and everyone was so kind. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Thank you Westin! We'll be back!
