Glacier View Cabins

We stayed at Glacier View Cabins for a month and are already planning to return to Homer, Alaska. From the porch, we had some of the most breathtaking views in Alaska every morning. The location was amazing, quiet, and convenient, and the price was right. Our cabin was clean, with a very comfortable king bed, a good shower, and a kitchen stocked with everything we needed, including a large fridge we filled at the Safeway in town. The owners were friendly, welcoming, and ready to help make our stay memorable. Highly recommend, five stars.

The cabin had a great view, and the beds were super comfortable. It was roomy, with a dinner table, fridge, and stove that worked well for a longer stay. The owner was very nice and made sure I had what I needed. Firewood was included, and it was nice to have the option of a fire, though I visited during a colder month and passed on it. Great place.

That view, that lawn, those cabins! This was the highlight of our vacation, even though we did most of the things people come to Homer for. The grass reminded me of the lawns from my childhood, with just the right green color and length. I loved sitting in it, and it was clearly well kept. The cabins are small, but roomier than most hotel rooms. The mini kitchen had plenty of coffee, utensils, dishes, and cups, and the room was so clean I felt like I was the first person ever to stay there. It's dog friendly, and my little fur babies had a great time. The beds were big and comfortable, with lots of pillows and blankets. Every night an ocean breeze came in and I drifted off to sleep. There's hardly any light pollution, so the stars come out at night. Even after the breathtaking glacier view disappears in the dark, you can look up and catch your breath all over again. It's close to nothing but near everything, just a short drive to the spit or historic downtown. Perfect for my family and our dogs. There's no doubt I'll be back.

I stayed in three different cabins, and each one was well equipped and maintained. The owner was fantastic to work with, and being able to do laundry at no extra cost was a real help. I was traveling back and forth to Homer while waiting to hear about a teaching job interview. I'd planned to stay at the cabins through the school year, but the offer came after I'd already driven back to the lower United States. I'll never forget the beautiful bay view and hope I can return someday. Great location, perfect in every way.
