The setting is gorgeous and the price seemed fair, so I rented a condo for a couple of weeks while considering buying here. By day three, I’d already decided against staying again, let alone owning. The property manager yelled at me in front of my kids for jumping into the pool in the afternoon. The rules said no diving, but said nothing about jumping. She shouted that I should stop, threatened to close the pool and call the cops. I was stunned. A polite request would’ve been enough. Later, while I was using the barbecue, another older resident watched me cook and checked whether I was okay after seeing flames. It’s irritating to feel that several retired hall monitors are keeping track of everything you do. For a place this beautiful, that kind of atmosphere takes away from the enjoyment. Apparently you’re not supposed to be too happy or make much noise.
