Pohailani Maui 115 2 Bedroom Condo

The waterfront units have lovely sunset and whale watching views. The location is fantastic, even if the buildings feel dated. Each condo seems to be at its own stage of renovation or updating, but Al was around and the property was very lovely.

We’re on night four in unit 227, and the beds are comfortable, the condo is clean, and it’s very close to the ocean. The hard part has been the downstairs neighbor, who seems bothered by any noise. Our 1.5 year old just walks across the floor and he bangs on the ceiling. Everything else about the condo has been wonderful.

The studio at 201 Pohailani (The Emerald Turtle Room) was bright, clean, and furnished with high end pieces that still felt comfortable. The artwork gave it a Hawaiian feel without being cheesy, and we had what we needed to manage on our own. Most amazing were the giant sea turtles visiting every day. I’d only seen them on snorkeling trips before. We spent two weeks there, with the water just 10 feet away and views that felt beautiful and romantic. We’ve taken many trips to Hawaii, and this was the best oceanfront condo we’ve stayed in. Maui is our favorite vacation destination, and this place exceeded what we expect from a rental. The price was very affordable for the quality and the view. We hope to return next year.

We’re four nights into our stay and already thrilled with this condo. It matched the photos, was very tidy, and the clean towels and bedding smelled fresh. We’ve had everything we needed for cooking dinner or taking food on the road, and the grill worked perfectly when we used it one night. There’s a designated parking spot, and it was easy to find with GPS. Entry is keyless, which is handy, and the woman who handled our booking was very nice and stayed in touch for months beforehand. The condo has air conditioning in each room, extra linens, beach towels, snorkel gear, and more. It’s across the street from the beach, with another entrance farther along leading to a nice beach with snorkeling access. The stay’s been great so far. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
