Big Island Keauhou Akahi 408 2 Bedroom Condo

When we opened the door, I was charmed by this adorable condo. It had everything for a comfortable stay, from kitchen and cooking supplies to a great BBQ, washer and dryer, and beach gear like chairs, snorkels, fins, masks, and boogie boards. The owners were so accommodating that they even let us check out later for our red-eye flight. They were fun to talk to and helpful with directions and ideas for places to visit. We had the BEST time and will definitely come back someday. They’re welcome to stay at our lake house if they ever visit!

The private balcony in Unit 210 is a lovely place to watch the sun set over the water. It’s a cute one-bedroom condo with two bathrooms and a small kitchen that’s well equipped. The walk down to the water takes about ten minutes, but that stretch of coast isn’t safe for swimming because of the sharp rocks and heavy surf. It gets quite warm in the afternoons on the top floor, so the bedroom A/C was a godsend. The community is quiet, and the pool was nice. There’s tropical decor, plus a good range of books if you forgot a novel or want to identify fish and birds from your outings.

The grounds are beautiful, with lovely flowers and ocean and golf course views. The pool area is great, surrounded by landscaping that keeps changing as it grows. Everyone is welcoming and friendly, and the new on-site manager is kind, helpful, and works incredibly hard. It’s a happy place with great Aloha!

The view is beautiful, and the place had everything we needed. It’s also near lots of places. My husband and I felt at home here during our stay, instead of thinking of it as going back to a hotel. We’d stay again.
