The place was disgusting, and the $70 cleaning charge was hard to accept when nothing had been cleaned. The bin still had rubbish in it, there was only one towel for two people, and the saucepan and cupboards smelled like rats' pee. We had to call just to find out how to get inside, then call again because we couldn't get the TV channels. The owner was rude when spoken to, never greeted us, and I never saw her at all. I'd stay in Kona and rent a car instead. Pay attention to the bad reviews, they were completely right. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Bugs were everywhere, including large flying cockroaches and regular roaches. One night a couple and a little boy arrived while we were staying there, but nobody was around to tell them how to get in or which room to use. The one room they could have used hadn't been cleaned. The only upside was having the house to ourselves most of the time. I wouldn't recommend this place or return, and I don't think it should be on Booking.com.

The house and its location are really nice, but it needs a lot of care. We did most of the cleaning ourselves, and I never saw a cleaning person. The owner said there was a cleaning service and a maintenance guy, but I could only get hold of the owner sometimes and saw the maintenance guy twice, for about 20 minutes each time.

At 9:00pm, we were left without anywhere to stay in a city where we didn't know anyone. Management had canceled our room without telling us. They were very rude and didn't apologize.
