Ocean Front Views - Central AC - 3 Complex Pools - Vrkcv

We had a family vacation with three kids, ages 10 to 17, and they said it was the best vacation ever. The rooms were spacious, with a living room and multiple balconies. We enjoyed several pools, including one with an ocean view. Restaurants in town are close by car. I'd recommend arranging air conditioning, which costs extra.

The place felt like a worn-out 70s house without the charm or upkeep, and the bathroom tub was dirtier than some highway public restrooms I've seen. Despite a ridiculous cleaning fee, I was pulling tissues out of the sofa cushions. Premium prices for bargain-basement standards. The owners seem greedy, the property managers seem to be cutting corners, and guests are left paying for the mess. Save yourself the disappointment and disgust, stay somewhere else.

The room was truly right on the oceanfront, about 12 minutes south of Kona. The property is dated but well maintained, and has three pools.

Most of the time the pools were quiet enough to lounge in peace. You can use three of them: the ocean-view pool, which is most popular, the main pool with a drinks vending machine, and a quieter pool. There's also a pickleball and tennis court. Staff and security were always friendly and welcoming. Our condo was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed, including a washer and dryer. We stayed four nights and found it a great place to unwind, though it wasn't perfect, as I mention in the room section. These condos aren't really set up for an onsite restaurant or bar. There is a cleaning fee and a charge for AC. I'd happily stay here again if I get back to Kona.
