We appreciated that the beds were clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. Someone was also planting flowers in pots around the property. There have been a few updates: our room had new flooring and the parking lot had recently been paved. Still, the place needs more work. The sink was clean, but its heavy staining made me wonder. Some furniture was badly nicked, and the hallway carpet looked worn out and dirty. Our window wouldn't lock, although it did have a stop. We saw a woman who appeared homeless at lobby breakfast, and a car in the lot was packed full of belongings. Sorry, we wouldn't stay again.

The poor reviews are right. Room 111 looked worn and dated, with patchy wall repairs and paint, a loose bathroom door handle, and beat-up furniture. The bedding was the worst part: lots of long, dirty hair across it and stained pillows. Jody was kind when we checked in, but when we asked to move rooms, she immediately got an attitude, as if we'd taken the unclean room personally. Room 115 was in nearly the same shape. We checked the bed first and found more hair in the sheets and stained pillowcases. One bad cleaning might be a mistake, but finding the same thing again felt like a pattern of not caring. When we asked Jody for a refund, she huffed as though we were at fault. Cheap hotels can be dated and have fewer amenities, but they should still be clean. We don't recommend staying here.

The traffic was extremely loud, though that's not the hotel's fault. We chose it because it was closest to the hospital for a medical procedure and the only place we could afford at the time. Staff were very nice and gave us a medical discount, but not on breakfast. Our room seemed only half cleaned: just one bath towel, one bath mat, a plastic cup, and no trash can liner. I found at least six long black hairs on the bed and bedding. The toilet was tiny, like one at an elementary school. We won't return. Prices are coming down now, so we'll look elsewhere for the next trip.

The price is the main draw here, much lower than places like Super 8. The room was clean but dated, and I couldn't quite figure out how to operate the shower nozzle. The pillows were flat and should be replaced. Even so, I'd stay here again.
