I rented a first floor unit from the owner for a week, either 101 or 100, and loved it. It had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two Lanais. The condo was completely stocked with beach toys, spices, kitchen appliances, pool, TV, BBQ, sunscreen, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and first aid supplies. Whenever we needed something, it was there. There were personal kayaks and similar things under the building. I think they were available to us, though we never checked. The pool had bees around it, and I saved a few from the water so they could fly away. I never saw any roaches. The place is close to Hāpuna beach, and it has a ramp near one parking lot and elevators for disabled guests. Hāpuna Beach State Recreation Area on the Kohala Coast is known for its half-mile of white sand, swimming, sunbathing, bodyboarding, and picnicking. Golf courses surround the area, along with lots of rich folks, so if you're not wealthy, head to Kona to play.

There's a general store right next door with most of what you'll need during a visit. The place is small and sits across the street from a beach. It's tucked away, quiet, and not busy.
