Vista Waikoloa B202 2 Bedroom Condo

The second-floor view is beautiful, but this was the dirtiest condo we’ve stayed in. We couldn’t figure out why our feet kept getting so dirty. The curtains need washing, the dryer’s lint trap hadn’t been cleaned, and the AC filter needs changing. The kitchen faucet isn’t working well, the coffee pot lid was missing, and the shower needed fixing because we had no water. Maybe they need a new cleaning service.

We stayed for a week while I was at a conference at the Hilton, about a 10-minute walk away. The apartments are spacious, and the pool and jacuzzi are great. The garden and trees by the entrance are gorgeous. Our room could have been cleaner: we found peanuts on the floor, a dirty tissue, and cockroaches.

We booked three condos through South Kohala Management, and everything went well. The units were spacious and had all the supplies we needed for a week in paradise. I’d read comments about cleanliness being a problem in some units, but looking more closely, those seemed to be VRBO rentals. Our accommodations were clean, and being able to check in right at the property was a big plus. The staff at the front desk were friendly and local, and readily helped with anything we needed. They also shared great tips and local history. Booking with the management company made for a great experience.

Everything looked beautiful, and the staff were friendly. The condominiums and amenities are great, and we really enjoyed our stay. My only complaint is the lack of a recycling program. To recycle, you have to take your items to a local beach.
