Maui Beach House

Nights were quiet since the place isn't on a busy street. It's right across from the beach, a lovely spot for sunsets, and walkable to Napili Market area. Napili Bay and Kaplua Bay, both amazing for snorkeling, are less than 10 minutes away. I had a pleasant trip and booked the bamboo suite through a last-minute deal on their website. The King bed was comfortable. The windows face the beach, though you only see a little of it, and I liked that plants covered them. There was a closet with hangers and two robes, two folding tables, two luggage racks, and a full bathroom with storage and a hair dryer. The travel-size shampoo and bar soap weren't enough for four nights, so bring your own. There's also a room with a couch, TV, and mini fridge, a microwave in the common area, and one free parking space. The complimentary breakfast was juice, pastry, and fruit. People may expect something different from a bed and breakfast, but it was fine for me, and the sliced pineapple was so good.

It felt more like staying in a hostel, and it definitely wasn't worth the money. The owners came across as passive aggressive, and service was poor. One morning we asked them about breakfast not being delivered. They blamed other guests for taking it and didn't fix the issue. The breakfast itself was a muffin, a kid's juice, and fruit that had gone bad days earlier. Our room's air conditioner didn't work at all, which was especially appreciated in 90 degree weather.

This is a decent place if you aren't too picky about where you stay. The beach is across the street, and it's good for getting close to the beach and snorkeling. Leave the car at the B&B and walk over, since there's nowhere to park at the beach. They have a spot to rinse sandy shoes and snorkel gear, and you're asked to wash your shoes before going inside. Breakfast is just muffins and juice, so it may suit you if you aren't very hungry in the morning after a big dinner. If you want more, there are breakfast places nearby. There's also a grocery store close by, and restaurants, groceries, and beaches are all near one another, with only a short drive between them.

For our honeymoon, we were told this was a bed and breakfast, but the breakfast wasn't what you'd expect. They serve the same small portion each morning, though the fruit and muffin change. It wasn't worth it for us. If you're staying more than a week, try somewhere else, since there's no iron or laundry place.
