Baymont and Suites Kasson Rochester Area

The bed was comfortable, so it wasn't a bad stay, but I was disappointed that the pool was closed after we chose the hotel because it advertised one. I also didn't like that people were clearly smoking cigarettes in a neighboring room.

The beds were comfortable enough, but the bathroom ceiling was covered in rust. The hot tub wasn't even lukewarm. Breakfast was awful: the sausage tasted freezer-burned, and the waffle maker was switched off about an hour into breakfast. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned lately, with dried batter all around it. The bin was full, as if the trash had been sitting there for at least a day or two, even though there were hardly any guests. If you just need somewhere for one night, it's probably fine, but I wouldn't stay longer. I added a photo. Two days after I tried and failed to make a waffle, the leftovers were still beside the iron.

The room was clean, the service was good, and it was very quiet. I was in town for a class reunion, and the hotel met my needs. It's Kasson, so some of the reviews seem a little much. The place is well kept, though it hasn't been fully renovated, and the bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. I'd suggest the gas station up the street or a local restaurant instead.

The pool and hot tub are actually in great shape and super clean, lol. But the pet rooms are definitely not clean. There was lots of debris along the wall and carpet, behind the dresser and nightstand, and once the sheets on one of our two beds were dirty. The bed frames weren't assembled properly, felt insecure, and were very uneven. It was horribly loud, too. We use this convenient location every week, and at first we were naive about everything, including third-party bookings, member rewards, and weekly rates. Wyman corporate and guest services say a representative is available 24/7, but they haven't acknowledged our experiences or resolved the issues. During the first month, they charged a $25 daily pet fee, though we'd seen an online ad for $20 a day. After we raised our frustration, they did honor the lower price. But today, after reading their information binder, we saw the pet fee listed as $10 a day. I'm so over feeling ripped off in so many ways. We always extend our stay, and they've charged us $10, $20, and last week, $30 an hour for late checkout. They never told us about price bundles or offered savings, even though we have to pay an extra $20 for our dog. But they still charge us if we don't check out by noon. I've paid for late checkout I don't know how many times, and even when we extend, they won't put that money toward the room. They charge our cards for late checkout, the new pet fee, and then the full room fee too.
