Crowne Plaza Kearney by IHG

We found the Crowne Plaza in Kearney, Nebraska beautiful and modern, with a thoughtful design that made it both comfortable and convenient. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable after a day of travel or meetings, and the service throughout was attentive, professional, and welcoming. The on-site restaurant served good meals in a warm atmosphere, and the hotel also has a charming little boutique. Having a Starbucks right inside was especially handy for mornings and quick breaks. A lovely stay from arrival to departure, with plenty to enjoy.

The Friday night buffet was amazing, and we loved being able to do everything on site. The waterpark is such a great perk, and the place is family friendly with great amenities. We brought our three children here as a Christmas gift, having heard good things, but it was even better than expected. We've visited plenty of hotels and attractions around the tri-state area, and this is by far the best. We'll definitely be back.

The pool was great, and all the lifeguards were friendly. The kid with the cast on his hand kept circling the pool and watching everything. He was definitely the best lifeguard there. The hotel itself is beautiful, though the front desk was a mixed bag: some people were kind and helpful, others really unfriendly. Housekeeping was nice and did a great job, but we found something gross in the room at check-in. They cleaned it up right away. The front desk asked me to email a photo and said they'd handle it, but didn't apologize. I would've felt embarrassed and said sorry. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable the kids chose to sleep on the floor, even though they've stayed in hundreds of hotels. We asked for extra blankets. Something bit me overnight and I'm really itchy today. I don't think it was fleas, since the hotel isn't pet friendly, but I'm not sure what it was. The visit was decent overall, and the pool made up for some of the problems.

The indoor water park and arcade were a hit for families, and the Starbucks in the lobby was handy in the morning. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant, with good food and service. The staff were friendly and professional, the modern rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel was quiet, easy to reach, and close to dining. Crowne Plaza Kearney is brand new and spotlessly clean. Outstanding stay, highly recommend for families or business travelers.
