The front desk staff were welcoming, but the room looked like it belonged in a B horror movie. The photos tell the story. I've stayed at places like this before without trouble, but if we'd found another place to stay, we would have left right away.

People who live at the hotel as their home can make it pretty loud. On Saturday, someone played drums all night. The service was awful too. After roaches forced us to switch rooms three times, the manager said she would refund our stay, but no refund came. She also claimed we had stayed an extra day, even though we checked out on time. She acted as if she were giving my wife a free extra night, but our reservation already covered the day we checked out, so nothing was comped. I have photos and videos of the roaches in the rooms.

For $60 a night, my one-night stay was a pretty good deal. The room was spotless when I checked it, which I always do after a past bedbug dispute at another hotel where I had to argue with the front desk for a new room. The bed was comfortable, though the furniture and bed were dated. The staff were friendly enough and got me settled without making a big deal of it. The hallway, though, had a strong mold smell that was uncomfortable to be around for long, and I don't know why the carpet hadn't been sanitized. Breakfast was included, with a make-your-own waffle machine, and coffee was available all day. The cleaning staff were really sweet. They cleaned around me for about 20 minutes after breakfast had ended before gently letting me know, and they let me finish without rushing me. Some other reviews sound unhappy, but I'd recommend it to budget travelers if they can handle the mold smell.

The breakfast was disappointing, the sausage was cold and the juice was warm and watered down. In the room, the sheets hadn't been changed and had hair on them. It smelled like pee, and mold was forming on the bathroom ceiling. There weren't any instructions for using the TV.
