Fairfield Inn & Suites Keene Downtown

The location was good, but the stay was disappointing and the photos didn't represent the room well. Our third-floor room was very small. The rollaway for our daughter had sheets that didn't fit and no pillow, and the pillows on our bed were flat and hard. The bed itself wasn't comfortable either. The shower head was filthy, the body wash bottle had broken off the wall, and cleanliness overall was close to unacceptable. Breakfast was meant to run until 10, but hot food was gone more than 30 minutes before then. My husband was told they were already closing up.

The location made it easy to walk to just about anything in Keene, and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I'd stay again, though the rooms need some work and feel dated. Our sink was clogged, there was no fan in the small bathroom, and the elevator was extremely slow. You also can't get to the stairs from the ground floor, so you have to ride the elevator up to your room.

After 28 years of work travel around the world, I don't often find a hotel this historic, quaint, and welcoming. Stacy was the most helpful and friendly hotel employee I've met in all that time, truly salt of the Earth. Great location, lovely staff, and a wonderful place to stay. Don't hesitate.

We come to Keene several times to see extended family, and this is our favorite place to stay. It's clean, quirky, and beautiful, with an ideal location. Mike at the front desk is wonderful, kind, patient, and always accommodating. We'll absolutely be back and will tell everyone we know to stay here too. Thanks, Mike!
