Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salem North - Keizer by IHG

We had a large, very clean room and bathroom, with an attractive bed and decent mattress. The hallway and entrance were clean too, and the staff were pleasant. Hops and Drops is just around the corner, and there are several shops close by, so it’s a handy setup for tired travelers. The traffic noise, though, is constant. We were on the fourth floor away from the freeway, and I still couldn’t sleep. I’m a very light sleeper. I ran the fan all night and had sounds through my headphones, but could still hear the traffic. My husband slept through it, so it may work fine for people who sleep easily. I even read a review saying the freeway side is quieter. The noise is the only reason I won’t return.

The night desk employee was patient and helpful, and gave us great ideas for food. The staff were really helpful overall. I appreciated that the safety bar, shampoo, and other things were placed in the right spot by the tub. I only wished there were a small table beside the bed and a towel hook in the bathroom.

There have been some changes here. If you want a Keurig in your room, remember to ask when you check in. The staff are friendly and helpful, and several restaurants are conveniently close. I’ll stay here again.

They’re still finishing the remodeling, and the staff were very hospitable. You can walk to In-n-Out Burger, Outback, and other sit-down restaurants from the hotel. I’d highly recommend staying here.
