We slept really well here. The beds were comfy, and even though it's close to I-90, the place was quiet. For $69, our setup was perfect: I needed two beds and got two rooms with a shared bathroom. Both were very clean, just like the sign says. We arrived earlier than expected, after the office had closed, but Barb spotted us from the bar next door and came over to check us in. When I booked, Todd had explained where he'd leave the key if we got in after 10 pm. Such a nice motel, and I can't recommend it enough if you're staying in the area.

Kennebec makes a handy break on the drive from Sioux Falls to the Black Hills. I had a small room for a solo overnight, and it was newly remodeled and the cleanest I've ever stayed in. The owner was so nice. She and her husband also run the bar attached to the motel, which I couldn't try this time, but plan to next time.

What started as a rough patch on our SD road trip turned into a great surprise. Our car overheated, and after making it to Kennebec to work on it at the nearest gas station, we chose Gerry's motel because Kings motel was full. Barb and her husband welcomed us with a lovely room and even made us dinner at their bar out front. The pizza was amazing, too. My granddaughter kept saying hello and repeating Barb's name the whole time. This place is a hidden gem, and we'll make it a yearly stop. Thanks, Barb, for being our hero and making the night memorable.

A clean, inexpensive place to sleep, and check-in with the friendly owners was quick. The room and bathroom were pretty small, but that makes sense at this price. I found the shower uncomfortable because it had one very high-pressure stream, and there wasn't a freezer. The TV was about monitor-sized, maybe smaller.

We’ve made Gerry's Motel a priority stop on a couple of trips over the years. Todd and Barb make you feel at home, and the rooms are super clean. It's a cute little place, with a bar right next door serving really good food at a fantastic price. We had a delightful stay last night. Highly recommend it for an affordable, friendly, comfortable stop.
