AWOL Kennebunkport

We come back once a year and stay in an outside cabin. It's really nice and quiet, and there are three units set aside for dogs if you want to bring your four-legged friends. Check-in and checkout are easy. They serve a baked goods bar, fruit, and granola for breakfast. Communication is very good, and they're quick to respond if you report an issue in the room. It's an easy walk to downtown, which turns into a winter wonderland around Christmas 🎄. There are maybe some great restaurants around it.

We spent our first wedding anniversary at AWOL Kennebunkport and had such a relaxing, memorable stay. The Walker Suite had lots of room, and the cozy gas fireplace and large soaking tub made it feel indulgent. Each morning's thoughtfully put-together light breakfast was a lovely bonus. Thanks to the AWOL Kennebunkport team!

The rooms were cozy, and the person at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. I did have one major issue: the sheets were polyester. They're uncomfortable to sleep on, and washing them releases microplastics, which is awful for the environment. I'd love to see the inn switch back to cotton.

We loved spending our 3 honeymoon nights in the cupola suite. It's a beautiful place, really close to downtown Kennebunkport, and the staff were all so friendly. The breakfast spread was unbeatable. We also had fun biking around, and the cupola was the coziest place to sit with a book and our morning coffee.
