Comfort Inn & Suites New Orleans Airport North

I won't be coming back. It wasn't just that the room I wanted ended up costing $25 more, it was how they handled the listed price. I found three room types at the same good rate on Comfort Inn's website, took a screenshot of the one I wanted, then logged in because that was required to get that price. Once logged in, every rate went up by at least $25, some more. Customer service said none were still available at the original price, even after I explained what happened. I mentioned that I'm a medically retired deputy and my wife is a veteran in medical school. The rep said nothing could be done. It seemed odd that so many bookings could happen early in the morning in such a short time. I called the hotel's front desk and they confirmed the rooms were still available, with no bookings that morning. It looked like they were just raising the price. I used to work at a hotel and know that rates can vary depending on who's booking, so I made a point of telling them about us. With so many hotels to choose from, I'll go back to places with good customer service. I shouldn't have to screenshot a price to get it. The listed price should be the price.

The rooms are clean and really smell clean, and every staff member I've met has been courteous. Any issue I've had was handled quickly and with a smile. This place treats guests like family, just like other Choice Inns and Suites I've stayed at over the years. Choice, especially the inns and suites, has been my go-to for about 20 years, particularly in the Southeast, after years of traveling around the country for business, pleasure, and family trips and trying many chains to find the right mix of comfort, convenience, and price. I've stayed here whenever my family or I fly out of New Orleans or have a family event nearby. Cindy, the general manager, feels more like a friend now. The room was clean and the front desk staff were friendly, but we won't stay here again. The air conditioner dripped orange liquid onto the carpet, and water collected around the bathroom faucet on the counter. There was enough of it that I worried about putting my electric device down there. Breakfast was bland but adequate. The friendly breakfast staff had to be asked to bring more forks and coffee cups.

My stay at Comfort Inn & Suites New Orleans Airport North – Kenner, LA was traumatic and unacceptable. Staff made false, offensive accusations that I was involved in prostitution and sexual activity. While I was unclothed in my private room, they entered without proper cause, violating my privacy and dignity. Management said they'd been observing me and made an inappropriate assumption that my male hairdresser was my sexual partner. The claims felt baseless and discriminatory. There were also bed bugs in the second-floor rooms, making the conditions unsafe and unsanitary. Guests shouldn't have to deal with harassment, surveillance, or false accusations. This property failed at guest safety, professionalism, and basic respect. I strongly advise others to avoid it.
