Best Western Kent Narrows Inn

We came because our dog had a sudden medical emergency, and the hotel was really kind about accommodating him. They picked a room that worked for us. We paid $170 for the first night with the pet fee, then $120 for the second night while our dog was at the vet. It was the best price around. Even with a stressful reason for being there, we could unwind in the clean, well-kept pool and sauna. The place was super clean, had the TCM channel, and the breakfast was good too. There was also a nice greenway nearby for walking or jogging. We'll come back for a proper vacation with our beast.

We had to book a king room because the queen rooms were all gone, and it came to $428 for one night. A little pricey for just an overnight. Check-in was easy, though, and the room was clean with plenty of towels.

At $489 a night, this hotel wasn't worth it, and I wouldn't recommend it. The elevator is far from the lobby, which made getting around inconvenient. Our sink was clogged, and neither the TV nor refrigerator was plugged in when we got to the room. The desk staff weren't very friendly, and they charged the wrong card. Fixing that meant reversing the charge and calling my bank. The emailed receipt after checkout also showed a different amount from what was charged. We checked in at 2:50 p.m. and were billed $25 for early check-in because it was before 3. Someone we know checked in before us and wasn't charged that fee.

We were in town for a wedding, and because no one at the front desk could answer our questions or be flexible, we ended up paying for an extra night we didn't even use. They gave us the general manager's number, but he never answered or called back after we left a voicemail. There were gnats all over the rooms, too. Next time, we'll spend a few extra dollars a night and stay across the street.
