Keokea Ranch Estate

We’ve been to Maui six times, but this was our first stay upcountry, and it might be our favorite spot on the island. The views are unbeatable, and the area is 5-8 degrees cooler than the coast, with lovely breezes. We worried about the lack of air conditioning at first, but the home is designed to catch the mountain winds, so the natural cooling felt great. The owners thought of everything, and the privacy, amenities, quality, location, and communication were all five stars. Not sure we’ll find a better rental. Keokea Ranch Estate is on our list for future trips.

The house was spotless and felt like home as soon as we walked in. It had everything we could need, from beach chairs and umbrellas to a cooler, a well-stocked kitchen, and board games for a rainy day. The host was always quick to respond, and communication was easy. Outside, the peaceful, picturesque setting gave us a chance to slow down after life in a busy city. The animals were a treat for my city kids, who don’t often get to be around them. We made wonderful family memories at Keokea and can’t wait to come back.

The private seven-acre property has adorable goats, sheep, and horses, plus a beautiful pool and hot tub. The hosts are lovely, and the high-end home has a gorgeous gourmet kitchen. The views are stunning, and it’s a great base for enjoying all the wonderful things Maui has to offer. Best Airbnb ever!

Four nights in August with my family flew by, and we could easily have stayed longer. The home and grounds are exceptionally well maintained, and there’s room for one family or possibly two families or couples. From the lanai, the view takes in much of Maui, Molokini Crater, and the neighboring islands. The animals on the property are friendly, too. It’s a truly magical island getaway.
