Everything looked almost brand new, and we had a lovely stay. The bedroom was warm and luxurious, and the water was clean and hot. We were there for Western Illinois Threshers, and the gentlemen looked after us from start to finish. They were accommodating and made homemade breakfast that I would gladly pay $30 for. This was the best money I've ever spent, and I'll stay here whenever I come to Keokuk or western Illinois.

The place felt authentic to the 1800s, but we decided not to stay. The front door was unlocked, so we let ourselves in. Then we noticed the bedroom doors had no locks and even had small holes where locks should have been. We didn't feel comfortable sleeping there.
