OYO Inn Kernersville

I’m from Charlotte and work weekends in Kernersville, so the location is handy for me. I picked it because it’s near Amazon and places to eat. The price is convenient, though you have to book online to get the cheapest rates. It’s not much to look at, but the value for the money is hard to beat. I could sleep during the day since nobody was outside arguing.

There were roaches in the room and the bathroom was filthy. I paid $300 for three days, which I guess is what you get at what’s supposed to be the cheapest place in kernersville. At least there weren’t thieves or junkies around. The room looked nothing like the website photos.

I’ve never stayed somewhere this nasty in my 60 years. The advertised pictures didn’t match the rooms, and there was old gum on the floor. It was so dirty and disgusting I didn’t even want my maltipoo walking on it. We killed five stink bugs, three on the curtains and two on the wall. We’d booked for a week. I sat in the middle of the bed, afraid to touch anything, and stayed awake all night until we could call the Best Western. Thank goodness we got a room there. We asked for a refund, and they said they had sent it, but my bank statements say otherwise. Please don’t stay there. It’s disgusting, I swear.

It’s an old place, but the staff seem to genuinely try to keep the rooms maintained and look after you. I’ve stayed a couple times before writing this, and for the price, it’s wonderful. The bathrooms were clean, the beds decent, and I didn’t see bugs or vermin in any of my rooms. It isn’t luxury, but if you need a good place to stay for a while, it works well.
