Days Inn by Wyndham Kerrville

The curtains were cut off with uneven, unfinished edges, and they wouldn't close fully in the middle unless I used a clip I carry. I didn't feel safe with light showing around and under the door, and the locks didn't seem secure, so I took extra precautions. The room was old and smelled gross. I chose a smoking room by accident, so some of that was my mistake, but still, ew. The AC didn't work at first; the front desk guy reset a breaker, and then it worked well, which I appreciated in the Texas heat. There was a spring mattress, very thin sheets and blanket, and thin walls. Breakfast was packaged muffins, bread, and cold cereal, with no fruit, yogurt, or bagels. The floor was filthy, and my slippers were almost black underneath the next morning. I kept them on because I didn't want to risk foot fungus, and didn't take a bath or shower. There was an ironing board, iron, and small fridge in the room. Parking was adequate and there was plenty of food nearby, but I won't stay again.

After 15 hours of driving, I arrived at Days inn kerrville at 1 am and nobody answered the ring bell for 20 minutes. Earlier, I'd asked for a one-hour checkout extension and the rudest guy ever said he'd give me only 30 minutes. I was returning to California, where I live, after burying my Dad in Ga. I'm a disabled senior, and since my ssdi money wouldn't post until I arrived, I booked through agoda with pay at the front desk. I tried to cancel with both him and agoda, but he said I couldn't and would be charged either way. This was all over a half-hour extension on a midweek checkout. Then, after I got a nosebleed from my blood pressure, I used the website's special request section to apologize in advance for my leaky colostomy bag and nightly blowouts in my depend undergarments. I immediately got a notice that the reservation had been canceled free of charge as a courtesy. Hahaha. God scores 1, Hadji at the front desk, zero! This was more fun than I've had in a long time, and I highly recommend trying it for entertainment only. I'm an expert at activities requiring my alternate personality, Richard Cranium. Lol. Stay away, and God bless.

We booked two rooms while traveling, but my wife and kids didn't feel safe after seeing several shady people hanging around the parking lot and balcony. When we tried to cancel, they said there was a no-cancellation policy. I could barely understand the person because of their heavy foreign accent. I'll never book another room at any Days Inn. In response to the owner's reply, I did contact the manager, and all he said was that they don't allow cancellations.

The front desk clerk walked me to my room and turned on the lights and heater so I would feel safe. I hope he does that for every guest. The staff were friendly, the room was very clean, and they offered me breakfast and coffee when I checked out.
