We had a great two-night stay at Largo Resort. The calm, laid-back atmosphere made it easy to disconnect, and the hotel had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the warm, clean infinity pool and had a lot of fun paddleboarding. Our Sunrise Bungalow was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with lots of room to relax. It was a perfect getaway for us, and we’d definitely return.

The bungalows are on the older side, but the walk-in showers are well appointed and the higher-end finishes make a difference. This was our first visit to Key Largo, and we used the resort as a base for heading to Key West. It’s well priced and peaceful on the bayside, with lush tropical trees everywhere. They’ve made smart use of a narrow, deep lot. The ice machine was broken, and street noise can be distracting in the cottage closest to the office. Aside from that, the staff were kind and attentive. A lovely resort, highly recommend.

Charlene was sweet and helpful from the moment we met her. There was a late checkout mix-up the next day, which was my fault and not the hotel’s, but she was still so accommodating. The location is ideal, tucked into its own little jungle, and the rooms are huge with very comfortable beds. My first time in Key Largo was a great one. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone, and it’s worth going just to meet Charlene.

For our wedding, we could keep our boat at Largo Resort and ride away on it after the ceremony. That once-in-a-lifetime moment was unforgettable. The venue feels private and romantic, with a stunning setting and a relaxed Keys vibe. They’re making upgrades around the property, including the new tiki hut where we held the dance floor, which looked beautiful. Accessibility is something to consider. Sand covers the property, which made it hard for elderly guests or anyone with mobility concerns to get around. Our grandparents needed planks across the sand to reach the ceremony. Dayana went out of her way to help them feel comfortable and cared for. The rooms were clean and comfortable. When the AC unit in the Grand Lodge’s main bedroom leaked, Dayana worked hard to get it fixed quickly, and we appreciated that. Largo Resort is a breathtaking place for a private, romantic wedding.

This so-called resort felt like an overpriced Airbnb. We arrived and found the rooms had almost nothing, with no kitchenette and barely any amenities. There wasn’t even water available on the property, so we had to drive to Publix right after checking in. The food and drink advertising felt completely misleading. Photos show food and drinks, and they even thank people who comment on those amenities, but they don’t exist on-site. Their own website also advertises dinner on the tiki terrace, though there is no dinner here. We felt totally bamboozled. Staff were incredibly rude and seemed annoyed when we asked basic questions. The whole thing felt like we were left to figure it out ourselves while paying resort prices. Know what you’re getting into before booking.
