We spent most of our first Key West visit out exploring, so the issues with the rental weren’t deal breakers. Still, the unit looked worn, with cracked tiles, loose faucet handles, and missing electrical face plates. It was clean and had the amenities we expected, but those small maintenance problems added up and gave the place an impression of deferred upkeep and little attention to detail. The management team’s service was solid. We reported a broken chair and a problem with the shower faucet handle, and staff took care of both promptly. Arrangements through Rent Key West were easy, too. Key West is expensive, and I may have expected the accommodation to match the cost more closely. The stay worked out fine, but the unit could use some updating and general maintenance.
