Papa's Hideaway

We found the property quiet and clean, with comfortable beds, lots of outdoor chairs, a grill, and a hammock. The pool was great too. Papa’s hideaway is just off duval, but the landscaping gives it a more secluded feel. It was perfect for my husband and me, and we’d definitely stay again.

Renting the entire complex worked really well for our family vacation of a lifetime. It’s a beautiful setting, and everything was clean and comfortable. We hated to leave. A couple of things weren’t perfect, as can happen with a rental. For example, one pool deck chair had a bottom that was falling apart and needs replacing. On the positive side, there were two washers and dryers, and although one dryer had an out of order sign when we arrived, a new one was brought in the very next day. That was a nice surprise.

The whole property was beautiful and peaceful, with comfortable furniture, pretty decor, and a private pool. We rented it for a wedding with a group, and there was dining, entertainment, and sightseeing within walking distance. Vacasa staff provided excellent service, calling on the day we arrived and again on Saturday, and sharing a personal cell number to text or call if anything came up. We did have to use it, and both times our minor issue was resolved quickly. We’d definitely stay again.

We flew all the way to Key West for a bachelor party expecting to sit by the pool and enjoy ourselves. When we checked in, the pool was in the condition shown in the pictures. We were told it would be finished the next day, but it definitely wasn’t. The company gave us a small refund, but they should have told us there was construction planned instead of leaving us to arrive and find out by surprise.
