The pull-out sofa was awful even by the usual sofa-bed standards. It seemed to be the same brand as ones in other properties, but it was so worn that it wouldn't unfold properly. The lobby was also the weakest common area of any building, just a foosball table and couch in a small, cold entrance, with an overpowering scent dispenser. All three room clocks showed different wrong times, which was almost impressive. The pool was filthy when we finally got in. There are two sets of hot tubs available, but the building's own tub was broken and the gate to the other set wouldn't work, so maintenance had to let us through. The guy was awesome and the service was great, as it always is, but both tubs being unusable in different ways was unacceptable. Other reviews say one had been broken all of last season too, so it seems they just didn't fix it. Our room had baseboard heaters that clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages. They whined loudly all night and kept everyone awake, yet even with the heat turned way up the room never got close to the desired 70 degrees and stayed chilly. This is the only building we've stayed in without building-wide Wi-Fi. It seems to be set up room by room, and ours was broken. I could see other networks charging for access. Who charges for Wi-Fi nowadays? We missed the hockey game we'd been looking forward to. We've stayed at pretty much every River Run property, and this was by far the worst. The location and service are great throughout the village, with Keystone staff, so you get those benefits anywhere. You can get them with better maintenance and amenities at other River Run properties.

It used to be a nice place, but now seems rundown. The elevator was out for my entire stay, so I had to haul luggage, groceries, my snowboard, and gear up six flights of stairs every time I wanted to do anything.

The kitchen was good, and the location right in River Run worked well. The room itself was just okay, with lots of little things that matter to guests. Some light bulbs were burnt out and hadn't been replaced. The TV setup was awkward, needing two remotes just to get it running, and it was the same in the bedroom. The pull-out couch was in sad shape. The mattress was shot, so I couldn't use it, and sleeping on the couch itself was only a little more comfortable. The bathroom faucet was backward too, with hot water on the right and cold on the left. I saw online that condo 8114 was for sale. It got us through the stay, though. Love Keystone!

The location of Arapahoe lodge is great, but that was the only bright spot. Our unit needed a deep clean. Dust was caked onto the textured walls and fans, and the walls were so grimy we had to wash them before we could relax. Not exactly how you'd want a vacation to begin. We didn't dare look behind the couch. The windows wouldn't close fully, so the room got cold at night. There was also a safety concern: while we were in the unit, a hotel employee walked in without knocking, saying they were there to fix something. We'd never requested a repair. I emailed vail resorts twice with pictures and descriptions of the problems, and eventually got only a canned reply. This used to be our usual ski destination, but after the room's condition and the lack of care afterward, we won't return or recommend it.

The location is great, but we weren't told the hot tub was down for the entire season until we arrived. We checked in early, paid the deposit, then spent the day skiing after being told they'd call when the room was ready. Four o'clock came and went with no call. When we phoned, it still wasn't ready. We drove 20 minutes back through ski traffic to the condo registration, waited another 20 minutes in line, and were told the room was "ready" when we reached the front. We found Cheerios in one of the beds and a summit pass that belonged to someone's kid.
