Holy Smoke Resort

It's a beautiful area and the Airbnb is really nice, though you can definitely hear everything when you're sharing rooms and the bathroom sits between them. Some places are a bit far away, but it's dog friendly and highly recommended if you're traveling around and just need somewhere to sleep.

We RV'ed here May 3-5 to visit nearby Mount Rushmore. We were self-contained, but used the water, electrical, and sewer hookups without any problems. Getting in and out was easy. Since we'd booked in advance and knew our site number, we just arrived and parked. The sites were clean, and site #14 had excellent Starlink reception. We didn't interact with staff during our stay.

We planned on two nights and ended up adding one because we loved it so much. The cabin was clean, cozy, and just right for a little getaway, and we especially liked having picnics on the front porch. Lynette was so kind and helpful, a real gem who made the stay even better. The location was great too, only minutes from downtown Keystone, where we spent our evenings. Highly recommend!

Being right near Mount Rushmore, the 1880 Train, and Crazy Horse made it easy to get to everything we wanted to see. We stayed three nights in July 2025 and had a great time at Holy Smoke Resort. The cabin was roomy and spotless, with a really comfortable bed. Reception staff were kind and helpful, and made both check-in and our questions easy. We’d happily come back and recommend it.
