The river out back was my favorite part. We visited for a weekend at the end of August, in the off-season, and spotted a bear 🐻, a beaver 🦫, and loads of chipmunks 🐿. There’s a trail that follows the river, loops around, and comes back to the room. The views are beautiful and the location is great. I love this place. Most of my photos are of what’s outside, not the room. Lol
The balcony has great views, and we had a good time here. The pool amenities do get abused by renters and visitors, though. One visitor poured water onto the sauna wires, which shorted them out and forced the sauna to close while they were replaced.
For unit #405: the condo was nice, but some services we were promised weren’t available. We were told the pool and hot tub were included when we booked, then found out they were closed. Getting in was awkward too, since we had to find a key in a lockbox before we could enter the complex and the room.
We got a good off-season deal on the condo, and the pool we could use was really nice. But our unit smelled awful, and the amenities couldn’t make up for it. We guessed it might be the garbage disposal and ran a couple of cleaning pods through it, but that didn’t fix anything. Maybe the smell came from years of sweaty, nasty ski gear sitting on the carpet and baking in. Whatever caused it, we won’t be back.
I booked through an Airbnb listing and had an excellent host. The hot tub was great after skiing, and I could walk to the lifts at Keystone.
