We got an email from management one hour before check-in saying it would be delayed by an hour. In reality, it was an hour and a half. One couple in our group arrived at 4:30 without seeing my last-minute text about the delay, and the cleaner seemed shocked that anyone was staying that night. There were used tissues all over the floor, and it was obvious the previous guests had been sick. With the rushed cleanup, how well could the condo have been sanitized? Disgusting. The listing says the full kitchen has the cookware and tableware needed to make a meal, which is pretty funny compared with what we found. No oven mitts, large frying pan, kettle, pot, coffee filters, Keurig pods, or foil. The owner told me she doesn’t stock filters, pods, or foil. We brought a French press, so we boiled water in a small pot crusted with pasta. There’s always a workaround, but at $500 a night this felt cheap and ridiculous. The knives were the usual cheap kind, the cutting boards tiny, and the dollar-store spatulas and utensils came with mismatched lids for the My Little Pony pots. The dishwasher left about a third of the dirty dishes unwashed, and I wouldn’t be surprised if its filter had never been cleaned. Parking was another problem. It was a low-snow year and Tenderfoot didn’t have many guests, yet the garage was full in the mornings and the surface lot, all 12 spots, was nearly full. The condos on either side have proper parking lots, but this one is crammed in with little thought. Even at half capacity, I can’t see how there are enough spaces. For anyone booking Tenderfoot or #2628, the surface lot signs say “Oversized Vehicles Only and All Others Will Be Towed,” but that’s the only option, so the sign is misleading.

We’ve been here a week and I’ve loved every minute. The balcony views are breathtaking, and the mountain ski activities are within walking distance. There are all the kitchen basics, plus nice amenities like a fireplace, heated underground parking, and hot tubs. It’s near town but still up in the mountains. This Texas girl is very pleased!

The unit wasn’t well maintained. Half the light bulbs were burned out, the carpet was stained and nasty, and there was no cold water from the fixtures. The hot tub water was filthy, too. At $1,200 for four days and three nights, I expected more.

We loved staying here as an Airbnb while we went to a show at Dillon Amphitheater. It’s a very quiet community, with a hot tub and grill open until 9 pm and a nice creek to walk alongside. We hadn’t realized how limited the ride options were: there’s only one bus and maybe two Ubers. The drive to Dillon was a bit farther than we expected, and we wish we’d stayed closer. Otherwise, it was a great place.

The view of the bunny slopes and one lift was nice, and getting to the lifts on foot was pretty easy. Indoor parking was handy. The washer and dryer are very small, and there weren’t many towels. Still, a 5/5 for me.
