We had such a lovely weekend here, my husband and I. The rooms were clean and really beautiful, and Linnette’s was a treat. Ellery was especially impressive: she looked after us at the bar while also serving the restaurant, and never seemed to miss a beat. We spent two relaxing days by the pool, where Mary was attentive and charming. It was so beautiful, and we’d happily recommend it.

The Astor Spa was one of the best parts of our babymoon. It was immaculate and peaceful, and the massages fit perfectly into a restful stay. We also made use of the heated pool, hot tub, fire pits, and water activities. Texting the concierge and using the complimentary Mercedes-Benz service made getting around easy. Our suite was comfortable as well as luxurious, especially the tub and fireplace. When we arrived at The Dunlin, Auberge Resort, there was a bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling wine, a handwritten note, and a sweet goat stuffed animal waiting for us. The property itself is beautifully designed and serene, just right for a quiet coastal break. Linnette’s had lovely service and well-prepared food. Make sure to try the goat ice cream. Everyone we met was welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere felt polished without being stiff. We left relaxed and grateful, and would come back with our kids and dog next time. The Dunlin made for a peaceful, refined Lowcountry getaway.

We spent several days at The Dunlin with the family to celebrate an 80th birthday, and it was a great experience. The rooms made a strong impression, and we tried several of the outdoor activities. We also had some really tasty meals and cocktails. It was our first visit to this fairly new property, in a beautiful spot along the South Carolina coast, with wildlife and scenery that are especially lovely if you appreciate them. We'd certainly return.

The people who helped with our proposal trip deserve a special mention. Katie, our itinerary designer and concierge, worked out proposal spots with my photographer, timed everything, picked us up, and helped keep the surprise intact. Brad at Lynette’s shared local tips and was friendly and knowledgeable. Josh at the front desk handled texts about reservations, cars, and s’mores with easygoing hospitality. We rode bikes on more than 7 miles of natural trails, saw wildlife, and had excellent spa services. Even the product selection at the spa felt considered. We also enjoyed Folly Beach, Kiawah Island, a local goatery, the farm stand, and shopping on Johns Island. Restaurant suggestions were right on target. When we asked for a fire by our unit, it was ready on time with s’mores kits waiting, and the AMG Mercedes fleet made it easy to explore. The room smelled lovely, and the gym was next level. Before our three days at The Dunlin, Katie asked about our preferences, dietary needs, and goals for the trip. Since we don’t drink, staff made sure mocktails were available instead of cocktail menus, brought celebratory mocktails on our engagement night, and booked places off property with NA and zero-proof options. It really seemed like everyone, from the front desk to the dining room, had read our notes. From booking through checkout, the service felt concierge-level. We left relaxed and grateful, and are already thinking about coming back. For a proposal, special occasion, or romantic Lowcountry trip, I strongly recommend it.
